JIGAWA DECLARES TUESDAY WORK-FREE DAY FOR 33RD ANNIVERSARY


The Jigawa State Government has declared Tuesday, August 27, 2024, a work-free day to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the state’s creation.
According to a statement signed by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, the government felicitates with Jigawa indigenes and urges them to pray for the state and Nigeria during the celebrations.
The statement reads: “It is hoped that all public servants and the entire people of the state will utilize the one-day break to thank the Almighty Allah for peaceful co-existence, unity, progress, and development of the state and also pray for those affected by floods in some parts of the state who have lost their lives, homes, and personal properties.”
Jigawa State was created on August 27, 1991, out of the old Kano State by former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
