Lagos, Nigeria – The War Against Injustice, a human rights organization, has condemned the arrest and detention of 10 protesters who participated in the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations, demanding their immediate and unconditional release.

“Government’s Actions Undermine Democracy”

The group’s Executive Director, Comrade Umar Ibrahim Umar, criticized the Federal Government’s pursuit of protesters, stating that it “grossly abuses power and silences dissenting voices.” He emphasized that the protesters’ demands for good governance, economic justice, and an end to corruption are legitimate and constitutionally guaranteed.

“Address Grievances, Don’t Prosecute Protesters”

Comrade Umar Ibrahim Umar urged the government to focus on prosecuting corrupt politicians, addressing economic hardship and insecurity, rescuing victims of kidnapping, and upholding the Nigerian Constitution and democracy.

Solidarity and Demand for Justice

The War Against Injustice pledged to continue standing in solidarity with the protesters and demanding justice and accountability from the government.
