NNL Board Meeting Endorses NFF Leadership and Approves Annual General Meeting

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigeria National League (NNL) Board of Directors held a virtual meeting on September 4, 2024, to discuss the league’s progress and future plans. The board expressed its appreciation for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for providing a conducive environment for the NNL to thrive.
The board also expressed its confidence in the NFF’s efforts to ensure that the Super Eagles qualify for both the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In terms of the NNL itself, the board resolved to hold the annual general meeting of clubs in September 2024. The specific date and venue for the meeting will be announced at a later time.
Furthermore, the board decided to maintain an equal number of teams in each conference for the upcoming 2024/2025 league season.
The meeting was attended by a majority of the board members, with only Engr Dotun Sanusi being absent. The communique was signed by Dr. Donald Ikpe, Chairman of the Communique Drafting Committee, Alh Sani Mohammed, and Dr. Ayo Abdulrahaman, Secretary.
