Kano, Nigeria – September 12, 2024: A new Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Ari Muhammed Ali, has assumed command of Zone One Headquarters in Kano. The zone covers Kano and Jigawa States.

AIG Ali, a seasoned police officer with a distinguished career, pledged to maintain professionalism, non-partisanship, and neutrality among officers under his command. He emphasized the importance of these principles for maintaining public trust and effective law enforcement.

AIG Ali, a native of Nasarawa State, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has served in various leadership roles within the Nigeria Police Force, including as a Divisional Police Officer, Area Commander, and Deputy Commissioner of Police in different states.

Prior to his appointment as AIG of Zone One, AIG Ali served as the AIG in charge of Zone Two, which covers Lagos and Ogun States. His tenure in Lagos was marked by significant reductions in crime rates.

AIG Ali’s appointment is expected to further enhance security and stability in Zone One. His emphasis on professionalism and community engagement aligns with the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to serving and protecting the public.
