Kano State Postpones Schools Resumption Due to Eid-el-Maulud

Kano, Nigeria – Kano State Government has announced a slight postponement of the resumption date for public and private primary and secondary schools in the state. The new resumption date is Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to coincide with the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Boarding schools in the state will resume on Monday, September 16, 2024. The decision was made to allow students to participate in the religious festivities without interrupting their academic calendar.

Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, the Kano State Commissioner of Education, expressed his congratulations to the Muslim community and urged them to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and patriotism. He also emphasized the importance of continuous prayers for the state and nation.

Parents and guardians are advised to take note of the revised resumption date to ensure their children are prepared for the new academic session.
