DSS Apprehends Sowore Upon Arrival in Nigeria

Lagos, Nigeria (September 15, 2024) – Omoyele Sowore, the prominent activist and convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) shortly after his arrival at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday.
Supporters and fellow activists had gathered at the airport to welcome Sowore back to Nigeria, but their joyous anticipation was met with disappointment as the DSS swooped in to apprehend him.
Sowore’s flight departed Washington Dulles International Airport at 6:14 EDT and landed in Lagos at approximately 9:43 WAT.
