Kebbi Beach Soccer Club Withdraws from World Winners Cup Due to Visa Issues
September 17th, 2024

Kebbi, Nigeria – September 17, 2024: The Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (KBSC) has announced that it will not be participating in the 2024 Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) organized “World Winners Cup” in Alghero, Italy.
The team’s decision comes after the Italian Embassy failed to issue visas to the players and staff, citing a late application despite multiple attempts to secure them since August.
While KBSC is disappointed to miss out on the opportunity to compete in the World Cup for beach soccer clubs for the third time, they remain committed to representing Nigeria and Africa at international events.
The club is now focusing on preparations for the upcoming 2024/2025 Kebbi Beach Soccer League (KBSL) and 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL). KBSC aims to retain their league title and extend their winning streak to four out of five seasons.
The club expressed its gratitude to its fans, supporters, and stakeholders for their understanding and continued support during this challenging time.
