Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has emphasized the country’s commitment to nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation at the 79th United Nations General Assembly. Badaru Abubakar, who assumed office on August 21, 2023, stressed the urgent need for progress in nuclear disarmament, citing the significant threat nuclear weapons pose to international peace and humanity.
