Security Guard Brutally Murdered at Federal University Dutse

Dutse, Jigawa State (October 14, 2024) – A chilling incident has sent shockwaves through the Federal University Dutse community as a security guard was brutally murdered on campus. The victim, identified as Munzali Muhammad Hadejia, was found lifeless with apparent signs of ritualistic killing.
The gruesome discovery was made on October 12, 2024, when colleagues reported Munzali missing from his post at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Upon investigation, his body was discovered near the building, bearing the disturbing marks of a violent attack.
The Jigawa State Police Command, responding swiftly to the distress call, rushed to the scene and transported the victim to Dutse General Hospital. Sadly, medical professionals pronounced Munzali dead upon arrival.
Police spokesperson SP Shisu Lawan Adam confirmed the incident, stating that efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime. While the exact motive remains unclear, local sources suggest a possible link to ritualistic practices.
The university’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Bello Onako, acknowledged the tragic event but deferred further comments to the Chief Security Officer. Despite repeated attempts to reach the CSO for more details, our calls went unanswered.
The body of Munzali Muhammad Hadejia has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
