Tinubu Demands CAF Action Against Libya Over Super Eagles Mistreatment

President Bola Tinubu has called for swift investigations and appropriate sanctions against those responsible for the mistreatment of the Nigerian Super Eagles during their recent trip to Libya.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, the Nigerian President welcomed the Super Eagles back home and expressed deep concern over the incidents that took place in Libya.

Tinubu has specifically requested the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Committee to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and recommend suitable penalties for the perpetrators.

The President commended the efforts of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Sports in addressing the situation and praised the resilience of the Super Eagles players despite the challenges they faced.

Tinubu’s intervention underscores the gravity of the incidents and highlights the Nigerian government’s commitment to protecting the welfare of its athletes.
