In a swift response to the recent nationwide power outage, the Nigerian government has taken decisive action to expedite repairs on critical electricity infrastructure.

Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has directed the Chief of Defence Staff to deploy military personnel to provide security for repair crews working on a damaged electricity tower in the North. This move comes after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed deep concern over the ongoing power crisis, which has severely impacted millions of Nigerians.

The Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to restoring power supply and ensuring the safety of repair workers. By providing robust security, the government aims to prevent further disruptions and expedite the repair process.
