Massive Crowd Welcomes Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar on Condolence Visit to Hadejia

Hadejia, Jigawa State– In a significant show of support, a massive crowd gathered today, Sunday, November 3, 2024, to welcome the Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, on his condolence visit to Hadejia. Minister Badaru extended his sympathies to the Emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje, following the passing of his son, Umar Farouk Abubakar Maje, and offered condolences to Senator Ubali Shitu over the recent loss of his mother, Hajiya A’i Idris Magama.
As Minister Badaru’s convoy approached Hadejia, a surge of supporters created a gridlock, stretching the typically short route into a two-hour, three-kilometer procession to the Emir’s palace. Upon arrival, the Minister led a solemn prayer for the departed souls, honoring the memories of those lost.
Minister Badaru was joined by an esteemed delegation, including Jigawa State Deputy Governor Aminu Usman Gumel, APC State Chairman Aminu Sani Gumel, APC National Financial Secretary Bashir Usman, former Jigawa State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Idris Garba Jahun, several Jigawa State Assembly members, outgoing local government council chairmen, and prominent APC leaders.
This gathering not only highlighted the community’s respect for Minister Badaru but also underscored the unity within the ranks of Jigawa’s leadership.
