Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi Reaffirms Commitment to Development, Calls for Unity and Respect for Party Leadership Amidst Political Challenges

Governor Mallam Umar Namadi returned to Jigawa State on Sunday after an 18-day annual leave, vowing to remain focused on the state’s development agenda.
Upon his arrival at the Aminu Kano International Airport, the governor was warmly welcomed by thousands of supporters who lined the streets to express their appreciation for his leadership.
In his address to the jubilant crowd, Governor Namadi acknowledged the overwhelming reception, stating, “It’s clear that the people of Jigawa have missed me. This outpouring of love and support strengthens my resolve to continue serving them diligently.
“However, the governor also expressed concern over recent political developments in the state, particularly within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He emphasized the importance of unity and called on party members to avoid distractions and focus on the party’s shared goals.
“We have one party in Jigawa State, and I am committed to maintaining that unity,” he said. “As leaders, we must remain focused and not allow ourselves to be distracted by divisive tendencies.
“Despite being on leave, Governor Namadi remained engaged in state matters, holding virtual meetings with his team and exploring potential investment opportunities in the Middle East. He revealed plans to attract investors to the state, particularly in agriculture and infrastructure.
“I’m excited about the potential investments we’re bringing to Jigawa. These initiatives will create jobs and stimulate economic growth,” he said.
The governor also commended the people of Jigawa for their peaceful and harmonious coexistence, urging them to maintain this spirit. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among all stakeholders in the state.
With his return, Governor Namadi is expected to intensify his efforts to deliver on his campaign promises and address the challenges facing the state.
