_NORTHERN YOUTH ASSEMBLY CONDEMNS AREWA CONSULTATIVE FORUM’S SUSPENSION OF EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN_The Northern Youth Assembly (Majalisar Matasan Arewa) has expressed disappointment and outrage over the suspension of the Arewa Consultative Forum’s (ACF) Executive Chairman, Mr. Mamman Mike Osuman, SAN. The suspension was allegedly due to Mr. Osuman’s criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s anti-people policies.
The Northern Youth Assembly described the suspension as “unreasonable” and “undemocratic,” stating that it was aimed at pleasing President Tinubu rather than serving the interests of the Northern Nigerian people. The group called for the immediate lifting of the suspension and restoration of Mr. Osuman’s powers and honor within seven days.
The Northern Youth Assembly also expressed its dissatisfaction with the ACF’s lack of tangible achievements in supporting the development of Northern Nigeria over the past 24 years. The group threatened to mobilize youths from the 19 Northern states to take over the ACF secretariat in Kaduna if their demands are not met.
