JIGAWA STATE GOVERNMENT SIGNS MOU WITH AGROEQUIP TO BOOST AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY

In a bid to enhance its agricultural input supply system, the Jigawa State Government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED.
The MOU signing ceremony, which took place at the office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, was attended by top government officials, including the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture, Muttaqa Namadi.
According to Malam Bala Ibrahim, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, the MOU will enable the state government to leverage AGROEQUIP’s expertise in enhancing its efforts to build a more resilient agricultural sector.
Key Objectives of the MOU:
✓Enhance Agricultural Productivity: The MOU aims to improve agricultural productivity in Jigawa State through the supply of high-quality agricultural inputs.
✓Support Agricultural Development: The MOU will involve the purchase of wheat inputs for the 2024 wheat cropping season to support agricultural development in Jigawa State.
✓Eradicate Poverty and Create Jobs: The MOU is in line with Governor Namadi’s administration efforts to eradicate poverty, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.
The Chief Executive Officer of AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, Wale Akinmusire, described the MOU as a historic achievement for both parties. He assured that AGROEQUIP will supply agricultural inputs of good quality, free from defects, and conform to all applicable standards and specifications.
