In a move aimed at improving the welfare of civil servants in Jigawa State, Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has approved the implementation of the new minimum wage, which will take effect from December 1st, 2024.

This development is a significant milestone in the administration’s efforts to enhance the living standards of its workforce. The new minimum wage is expected to boost the morale of civil servants and promote economic growth in the state.

It’s worth noting that Governor Namadi has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of civil servants. Earlier in the year, he approved the immediate payment of a salary award to civil servants, as well as a cash palliative to help cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.

The implementation of the new minimum wage is a testament to the governor’s dedication to improving the lives of Jigawa State’s civil servants. As the state prepares for the new wage structure, citizens can expect a positive impact on the local economy and an improved quality of life for civil servants.
