This legislation establishes the Jigawa State Electricity Regulatory Commission, which will oversee electricity generation, transmission, system operation, distribution, and supply in the state.

The law aims to enhance electricity access for residents of Jigawa State while fostering an environment conducive to private sector investment in the power industry.
