VP Shettima Leads Presidential Delegation on Condolence Visit to Jigawa State

Vice President Kashim Shettima, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, led a delegation to Jigawa State on Saturday to offer condolences to Governor Alhaji Umar Namadi, who recently lost his mother and son.
The delegation, which included Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State and other top government officials, visited Hadejia, Jigawa State, to pay their respects to the governor and his family.
VP Shettima expressed his condolences, saying, “Death is an inevitable destiny that is hanging on everyone’s neck. We are all from Allah, and at the train station with our baggages waiting for the train. From where? From Allah, to where, to Allah. Our bags and baggages are our deeds in this world”.
The Vice President prayed for the souls of the deceased, saying, “May Allah grant the souls of the deceased eternal rest and Aljannah Firdaus. May Allah also grant the family the fortitude to bear these irreparable losses”.
This condolence visit demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to supporting state governments during times of grief and loss.
