Najib Falalu, Executive Chairman of Buji Local Government, has expressed his deepest condolences to Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, over the tragic loss of his beloved mother and eldest son.

The chairman, speaking on behalf of the people of Buji Local Government, described the loss as “immense” and “irreplaceable,” and prayed for strength and comfort for the governor and his family during this difficult time.

Falalu’s condolence message is one of many that have poured in from across the country, including from Vice President Kashim Shettima, who led a delegation to Jigawa State to condole with the governor. Other governors, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Benue State Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, have also sent their condolences.

The Southern Governors Forum, led by Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, also expressed their condolences, describing the loss as “devastating” and “heartbreaking”.

Governor Namadi’s mother, Hajiya Mariam, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, while his son, Abdulwahab, died in a car accident on Boxing Day, December 26.
