Fire Outbreak in Fulanin Fulatannan Village: Birniwa Council Chairman Pledges Support

A devastating fire outbreak occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Fulanin Fulatannan Village in Batu Ward of Birniwa local government area, destroying all cornstalk houses and 28 corn food storage facilities. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident.
Birniwa local government council chairman, Hon Shehu Baba Birniwa, expressed his sadness over the sudden fire outbreak and called on the residents to consider it as an act of God. He prayed for God’s mercy and protection from future occurrences.
Hon Shehu Baba Birniwa pledged to donate 10 bags of millet and 10 bags of genie corn to the victims to support them. He also appealed to the state emergency management agency to provide aid to the victims, who lost all their belongings.
The incident has brought attention to the need for emergency preparedness and response measures in the region. Similar incidents have occurred in the past, including a fire outbreak at Mabab village in Birniwa Local Government area, which claimed the life of a four-year-old boy.
