Jigawa State: SEMA Responds to Jahun-Miga Border Clash, 9 Lives Lost, Millions Destroyed

By Abdulhamid Sani
A devastating civil unrest has ravaged the communities of Jahun and Miga Local Government Areas in Jigawa State, leaving 9 people dead and many hamlets burnt to ashes. The violence, which occurred at the border of the two LGAs, also resulted in the loss of cash worth N3 million. Normalcy is being restored to the community by a combined team of security agents.
The Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Haruna Mairiga, visited the scene, promising immediate support for the victims and the families of the deceased. Dr. Mairiga also prayed for the speedy recovery of those receiving treatment in the hospital and assured them of SEMA’s support.

The Jigawa State Government has pledged to provide relief materials to the affected communities, as seen in similar efforts by SEMA in other parts of the state. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and increased patrols in the affected areas to prevent further violence.

Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased and the injured. May Allah forgive those who lost their lives and grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss.
