In a bid to support students returning to school after the holiday break, the Malam Madori Local Government Council has taken the initiative to convey boarding students back to their various schools in Jigawa State. This gesture, aimed at encouraging students and easing transportation costs, was announced by Council Chairman Salisu Sani Garin Gabas.

Chairman Garin Gabas emphasized the importance of dedication, respect, and attention to studies, urging students to strive for satisfactory academic outcomes. The Local Education Secretary, Isah Muhammad, commended the chairman’s effort and cautioned commercial drivers to ensure safe transportation of students.

This development comes as Jigawa State schools resume academic activities for the new term, with Governor Mallam Umar Namadi’s administration prioritizing education and students’ welfare. The state government has implemented various initiatives, including the “Jigawa Compete” digital program, aimed at enhancing educational standards and providing quality education for all.

The Jigawa State Government’s commitment to education is evident in its efforts to address the challenge of out-of-school children. The government has approved over N2.8 billion for the establishment of modern Tsangaya schools, which will provide quality education to at least 12,000 pupils.

As students return to school, the Malam Madori Local Government Council’s transportation initiative is a welcome gesture, demonstrating the government’s dedication to supporting students’ academic pursuits.
