Tragedy struck the Kano State Government on Wednesday as Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Works, passed away in Egypt, just a day after his swearing-in. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a “tragic and irreplaceable” blow to the state, Bunkure’s family, and the wider political community.
The governor praised Bunkure’s dedication and expertise, saying his contributions were expected to drive the administration’s development vision. Condolences poured in from prominent figures, including Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and members of the Kano State Government.
