The Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has donated relief materials to victims of a recent clash in the state. The agency provided 25 bags of rice and ₦500,000 to those affected, while families who lost children received five bags of rice and ₦100,000.
According to Dr. Haruna Mairiga, Executive Secretary of SEMA, the clash was sparked by theft, which led to the tracing of stolen goods to a settlement, resulting in the loss of lives and property.
The Jahun Local Government Chairman, Jamilu Dan Mallam, emphasized the council’s commitment to supporting the victims, urging them to accept the situation as destiny and prioritize peace.
This gesture by SEMA aims to alleviate the suffering of the victims and support them in rebuilding their lives.
