EFCC C Awards Officers, Sections for Outstanding Performance in 2024

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), under the leadership of Ola Olukoyede, celebrated its exceptional officers and sections for their exemplary performance in 2024. In a ceremony held on January 25, 2025, the Commission recognized 35 outstanding officers and 30 sections across its operations.
A Breakdown of the Awards – Staff of the Year: Twenty officers from each department were celebrated for their dedication and exemplary service.
Top Prosecutors: Fifteen prosecutors were recognized for securing the highest convictions within their respective Zonal Directorates.
Highest Recoveries and Convictions: Fifteen sections across the Zonal Directorates were awarded for achieving the most significant recoveries and convictions.
Best Zonal Directorate: The Sokoto Directorate earned the prestigious title of Best Zonal Directorate for 2024.
Special Honorees CSE Alvan Gurumnaan from the Department of Special Duties was named “Staff of the Year” for his extraordinary contributions. Additionally, the late ASE I Aminu Harisu Sahabi was posthumously honored with the “Bravery Award”, recognizing his sacrifice in the line of duty.
The awards underscore the EFCC’s commitment to encouraging excellence and dedication among its workforce in the fight against financial crimes.
