Police Recover Locally made Firearm in Uyo, Neutralize Notorious Cultist

26th January 2025 AKWA IBOM STATE POLICE COMMAND In a bold and decisive operation, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command has struck another major blow against crime, neutralizing a suspected notorious cultist in Uyo and recovering a locally made pistol.
The operation, carried out on the morning of 25th January 2025, around 9:50 AM, followed credible intelligence. Police operatives stormed the residence of Kingsley Effiong Emmanuel, a 26-year-old male, at Nsukara Offot village, Nwaniba Road, Uyo, uncovering the weapon reportedly used in terrorizing innocent residents of the area.
Ongoing Investigations Preliminary findings link the suspect to multiple criminal activities that have disrupted peace in the community and its surrounding areas.
Police Commissioner’s Stern Warning Commending his officers for their bravery, the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, issued a strong warning to criminals operating in Akwa Ibom State:
