Governor Umar Namadi Visits Minister Badaru Amidst Political Tensions

In a surprise move, Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar A Namadi paid a visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Alh. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, at his residence in Asokoro district, Abuja, on Monday, January 3, 2025. The meeting comes amidst reports of a brewing political clash between the two leaders.
Governor Namadi was accompanied by key APC stakeholders, including Alh. Isah Gerawa, Alh. Lawan Ya’u Roni, Alh. Hashim Ubale Yusuf, and the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Alh. Bala Ibrahim Birnin Kudu.
The meeting between Governor Namadi and Minister Badaru may be an attempt to ease tensions and resolve the ongoing power struggle in Jigawa State’s APC.
