Defence Minister Badaru Leads Jigawa APC Stakeholders to High-Profile Wedding in Jahun

In a strong display of political presence and influence, the Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, led an entourage of top-ranking government officials and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders to the wedding Fatiha of Aisha Idris Garba, daughter of the former Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Idris Garba. The ceremony took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Jahun Central Mosque.
Badaru, a political heavyweight in Jigawa, the Northwest, and at the national level, was warmly received by the Deputy Governor, Eng. Aminu Usman Gumel, who represented Governor Umar A. Namadi, FCA. His arrival underscored his continued relevance in both the state and national political landscape, cementing his role as a key stakeholder in APC affairs.
Accompanying him were top government functionaries, including the Secretary to the State Government, Mallam Bala Ibrahim, the Chief of Staff, Government House Dutse, Mustapha Makama, and members of both the National and State Assemblies. The presence of these high-ranking officials demonstrated Badaru’s enduring influence and the respect he commands within the party and government circles.
Also in attendance were prominent APC figures such as the party’s Jigawa State Chairman, Alh. Aminu Sani Gumel, APC National Financial Secretary, Bashir Gumel, and APC Leader, Alh. Isah Gerawa. They were joined by the Director General of the 2025 APC State and Presidential Campaign, Alh. Lawan Yau Roni, and other political heavyweights, including Alh. Hashim Ubale and several former local government chairmen. Thousands of APC supporters also thronged the venue, further highlighting the Minister’s grassroots appeal and party strength.
