Nigeria and Russia Strengthen Defence Ties

In a significant move to bolster bilateral defence relations, the Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, met with the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General Yunus-Bek Evkurov, at the Ministry of Defence in Abuja on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding defence relations between Nigeria and Russia, with discussions centred on enhancing cooperation in various areas. This development is expected to further solidify the ties between the two nations, building on their existing cooperation in defence, trade, and economic development.
