Jigawa Removes Dealer from Ramadan Feeding Program Over Alleged Embezzlement

The Jigawa State Government has terminated its contract with Diya Sweets, a main dealer for the Ramadan Monthly Feeding program in Guri Local Government Area, over allegations of embezzlement. According to a statement issued by Hon. Auwal D. Sankara, Commissioner of Special Services, Diya Sweets was found to have unconstitutionally deducted ₦72,000 from the program’s funds.
Government Demands Refund and Return of Documents
The government has demanded that Diya Sweets refund the allegedly embezzled funds and return all documents and materials related to the Ramadan feeding program. Failure to comply may result in legal action.
