Tinubu Appoints Professor Attahiru Jega as Presidential Adviser on Livestock Reforms

In a move aimed at driving meaningful progress in the livestock sector, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as Special Adviser and Coordinator of the Presidential Livestock Reform.
Professor Jega, a renowned academic and former vice-chancellor of Bayero University, is expected to bring his expertise to bear in this new role. He had previously co-chaired the Presidential Livestock Committee with President Tinubu, delivering comprehensive recommendations for sustainable livestock reforms.
As Special Adviser, Professor Jega will reinforce the gains of the presidential committee and ensure the continued momentum of the reforms already in motion. His appointment is seen as a significant step towards strengthening national development efforts, particularly in the livestock sector.
