In a bid to restore order and decorum in public spaces, Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has banned loud preaching in markets, imposing a fine of N500,000 on offenders. This move is part of a broader crackdown on noise pollution and fake pastors and prophets in the state.

Soludo’s administration aims to ensure that market activities are conducted in a peaceful and respectful manner, minimizing disruptions and distractions. The ban on loud preaching is expected to allow traders and customers to focus on their business, promoting a more conducive environment for commerce.

Crackdown on Fake Pastors and Prophets

In addition to addressing noise pollution, the governor has launched a crackdown on fake pastors and prophets who exploit and deceive citizens. These individuals often use loudspeakers to promote their activities, and the governor’s move aims to protect citizens from their unscrupulous tactics.

While some may view these measures as restrictive, others see them as necessary steps to maintain public order and safety. As Governor Soludo continues to implement his policies, it remains to be seen how these changes will impact the daily lives of Anambra State residents.

Governor Soludo’s Commitment to Good Governance

Since assuming office in March 2022, Governor Soludo has demonstrated his commitment to good governance and the welfare of Anambra State residents. His administration’s efforts to address noise pollution and fake pastors and prophets are part of a broader vision to create a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous state.
