The crackdown, which was carried out in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, is part of NAFDAC’s ongoing efforts to rid the country of counterfeit and substandard products that pose a significant threat to public health.
The destroyed products include expired and banned drugs, as well as other counterfeit items. NAFDAC’s Director-General, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, praised the agency’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of protecting the health and well-being of Nigerians.
The arrests and destruction of banned products serve as a warning to counterfeiters and other perpetrators that NAFDAC will not tolerate any activities that compromise public health. As the agency continues to intensify its efforts to combat counterfeiting, Nigerians can rest assured that their health and safety are being protected.
