Miyetti Allah Leader Gunned Down in Kwara State

Tragedy struck in Kwara State on Saturday night when Alhaji Idris Abubakar Sakaina, the leader of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen. The incident occurred around 10:00 pm in front of his residence in Oke Ose, Ilorin.
According to eyewitnesses, Sakaina’s attackers left him in a pool of blood, with no apparent motive for the killing. “They didn’t collect anything from him, and their motive for such action is surprising,” a source revealed.
A witness, Aina’u Sarki, recounted being with Sakaina just 20 minutes before his death. “Someone called me on the phone and told me that he was shot dead,” Sarki said.
The Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Inter-Community Relations, Fulani, Muhammed Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to the media on Sunday morning. “We are preparing for his janaza, and the police have started an investigation,” Abdullahi stated.
The Kwara State Police Command has launched an investigation into the killing, but details are still sketchy. The deceased, 32, was a former Special Assistant to Moro Local Government Chairman and a Youth Leader of the Fulanis in Kwara.
