Ghana’s President Mahama visit Niger Republic, Embarks on Sahelian Diplomacy

Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama is set to visit Niger Republic on Sunday, March 10, as part of his diplomatic tour to three neighboring Sahelian countries. The visit aims to strengthen Ghana’s good neighborliness policy and contribute to efforts towards reconciling Niger and other Sahelian countries with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

President Mahama’s itinerary includes stops in Bamako, Mali, and Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, in addition to Niamey, Niger. This diplomatic effort underscores Ghana’s commitment to regional stability and cooperation.
