Kwara United Win Over Kano Pillars with Governor AbdulRazaq in Attendance

Kwara United delivered an impressive 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars in Ilorin on Sunday, with Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq cheering them on. This crucial win on matchday 28 of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Kwara Sports Complex propelled the Harmony Boys to 11th place on the NPFL table with 39 points.
The Harmony Boys dominated the game, with Wasiu Alalade scoring in the 20th minute and Wasiu Jimoh securing the second goal in the 52nd minute. This win was especially significant given the team’s resilience while fasting during Ramadan.
Speaking after the match, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the importance of sports in promoting unity, discipline, and healthy competition. He commended the team’s performance and reaffirmed his commitment to sports development in Kwara State, encouraging the team to strive for excellence.
With this victory, Kwara United jumped to 11th place with 39 points, while Kano Pillars remain in 6th place with 42 points from 28 matches in the 2024/2025 season.
