Breaking News: Troops Rescue 7 Kidnapped Victims in Plateau State

In a daring operation, troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) have rescued 7 kidnapped victims in Riyom local government area of Plateau State. The rescue mission was carried out on March 11, 2025, as part of the ongoing Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A.

According to reports, the troops received intelligence that kidnappers were holding victims abducted along the Jos-Ganawuri road on March 7, 2025. The troops swiftly moved in, engaging the kidnappers in a gun battle and forcing them to flee. The rescued victims, all from Bauchi State, were identified as:
- Mr. Sale Umar
- Muhammadu Inusa
- Abdullahi Abdulrasaq
- Abdulsalam Muhammad
- Muhammad Hamisu
- Ibrahim Maradu
- Saidu Sani
The troops also recovered a bag containing a blanket and clothing materials abandoned by the kidnappers. The rescued victims were debriefed and reunited with their families, providing valuable intelligence to aid in further operations against the kidnapping syndicate.

This successful operation is a testament to the Nigerian military’s commitment to combating insecurity and protecting citizens. Operation SAFE HAVEN will continue to pursue criminal elements in the Joint Operations Area, ensuring their arrest and prosecution.
