This initiative fulfills one of Waiya’s promises upon assuming office and demonstrates his commitment to supporting the ministry’s staff.
Key Features of the Cooperative Society

- Registered and Banked: The cooperative society has been duly registered, and a bank account has been opened to ensure its smooth operation.
- Committee Members: The committee members include Shitu Muhammad as Chairman, and other members are Abdulhamid Hamisu, Dahiru Hamisu, Yusuf Ibrahim, Bala Umar Zango, Nuhu Tanko, Ibrahim Hassan, Salam Sani, Mudi Garba, and Jibrin Sani as Secretary.
Waiya has also donated N1,000,000 to support the successful takeoff of the cooperative society. Furthermore, as part of a Ramadan welfare package, the Commissioner distributed N40,000 in cash to each staff member of the ministry. This gesture aligns with Waiya’s commitment to staff welfare, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, and is in line with the present administration’s policy of prioritizing the well-being of civil servants in the state.
