The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has paid tribute to its 14th Comptroller General, Late David Shikfu Parradang, who was laid to rest in his hometown, GRA Pankshin, Pankshin LGC, Plateau State. Parradang, a renowned patriot and visionary leader, served as the Comptroller General of Immigration from 2010 to 2015.

At the funeral service held at the Cathedral Church Anglican Church of St. Paul, Manung Pankshin, Deputy Comptroller General AJ Umanah represented the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, KN Nandap, and paid tribute to the deceased. The representative of the Executive Governor of Plateau, Her Excellency, Mrs. Josephine Piyo, also attended the ceremony and described Parradang as a “valuable son of the Nation” who will be deeply missed.

The funeral ceremony was attended by top government officials, including the Hon. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, as well as members of the business and political class.

Parradang’s legacy as a dedicated leader and champion of immigration reform will continue to inspire future generations. As the NIS mourns his passing, it also celebrates his contributions to the service and the nation.
