Breaking News: Kano Commissioner for Internal Security Resign

In a surprise move, Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has accepted the resignation of Maj. Gen. Muhammad Inuwa Idris (Rtd), the Commissioner for the newly created Ministry of Internal Security and Special Services ¹. The governor expressed his gratitude to the retired Army General for his service to the state, acknowledging his contributions to the initial take-off of the ministry.
Governor Yusuf praised Maj. Gen. Idris as a dedicated public servant and patriotic Nigerian, wishing him a peaceful and fulfilling retirement. The governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, stated that Maj. Gen. Idris’ tenure laid a solid foundation for the ministry, which his successor can build upon.
This development comes amid recent cabinet reshuffles by Governor Yusuf, including the retention of commissioners for Solid and Mineral Resources, Religious Affairs, Youth and Sports, Investment and Commerce, and Internal Security and Special Services.
