Jigawa Police Secures Land for State-of-the-Art Shooting Range, Boosting Security Infrastructure

Dutse, Jigawa State – April 10, 2025 – In a significant move aimed at bolstering the state’s security framework, the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, psc, today conducted a crucial site inspection at Tsohon Kafi village, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area. The visit centered on a 35-hectare plot of land generously allocated by the Jigawa State Government for the construction of a cutting-edge shooting range.
Accompanied by key members of the Command’s Management Team, the Commanding Officer of 35PMF Dutse, and a team of expert engineers, CP Abdullahi assessed the land’s suitability for the ambitious project. The primary objective is to initiate the construction of essential infrastructure, enabling the command to provide newly graduated police constables with vital shooting training.
“This is a pivotal step in enhancing the operational capabilities of our officers,” stated CP Abdullahi during the inspection. “The state-of-the-art shooting range will ensure our personnel are well-equipped and proficient in handling firearms, ultimately contributing to a safer Jigawa State.”
The Commissioner of Police expressed profound satisfaction with the dedication shown by the Department of Operations, 35PMF, the Works Department, and the District Head of Birnin Kudu in driving this monumental project forward.
