In a significant push towards a digitally empowered nation, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and tech giant Cisco have successfully concluded a four-week DL4ALL digital skills boot camp in Lagos. The innovative program equipped 50 young Nigerians with cutting-edge skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), IT Essentials, and Data Science, setting them up for success in the global digital economy.

Representing NITDA’s Director General at the closing ceremony, Mrs. Chioma Okee-Agugwo, Head of the South West Zonal Office, stressed the importance of digital literacy in enhancing youth employability and driving national growth. “A digitally empowered nation is crucial for competing globally,” she emphasized, highlighting the agency’s commitment to youth empowerment and digital skills development.

This initiative aligns perfectly with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to accelerate diversification through industrialization, digitization, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation. By investing in digital skills training, NITDA and Cisco are not only bridging the digital divide but also fostering a new generation of tech-savvy professionals who can drive Nigeria’s economic growth.
