A high-powered delegation from the Federal Government of Nigeria has landed in Saudi Arabia to receive the remains of the late business mogul and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata. The delegation arrived in the Islamic holy city of Madinah in the early hours of Monday, ahead of the funeral scheduled to take place later in the day.

Who’s Who in the Delegation

Led by Minister of Defence and former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, the delegation comprises notable government officials and Islamic clerics. Other members include:

  • Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN
  • Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris
  • Minister of State for Housing Development, Honourable Yusuf Abdullahi Ata
  • Prominent Islamic clerics, Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, and Khalifa Abdullahi Muhammad, Imam of Dantata Mosque, Abuja

The delegation is also accompanied by members of the Nigerian Consulate General in Jeddah, led by Ambassador Muazzam Ibrahim Nayaya, who has been coordinating arrangements for the funeral.

As news of Alhaji Aminu Dantata’s passing spread, condolences have been pouring in from far and wide. The business community and Nigerians at home and abroad have been paying tribute to the late icon, hailing his contributions to the nation’s economy and his philanthropic endeavors.

The funeral, scheduled to take place later on Monday, is expected to be attended by dignitaries from across the globe. The Federal Government delegation’s presence underscores the significance of Alhaji Aminu Dantata’s legacy and the impact he had on the nation.
