Jigawa Police Debunks Viral Video Alleging Bandits’ Movement in Dutse

DUTSE, Jigawa State -The Jigawa State Police Command has dismissed as false and misleading a viral video circulating on social media alleging that armed bandits were sighted moving in convoy through Dutse metropolis on Monday, October 28, 2025.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Command clarified that the footage did not originate from Jigawa State and urged members of the public to disregard the claim, describing it as a deliberate attempt to cause panic and fear among residents.
The Police further assured citizens of its unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security across the state, emphasizing that patrols and intelligence operations have been intensified to forestall any security threat.
