Kano, Nigeria – Barau FC, a prominent football club from Kano, has been drawn into a challenging Group A for the upcoming Afriskaut NLO Cup 2024. The Maliya Boys will compete against Mamba PRO FC (FCT), Shield FC (Kano), and Onome Dupri FC (FCT) in a bid to advance to the knockout stages.

The tournament, sponsored by Afriskaut, a renowned football scouting and player analysis company, will take place from October 5th to 20th, 2024, at the Bwari Stadium and Dipo Dina Stadium Ijebu Ode. This year’s edition marks the second installment of the NLO Cup, but the first under the guidance of Afriskaut, which will leverage its advanced data analytics to enhance the scouting process.

Barau FC’s journey in the tournament will commence on October 5th at 8:00 AM, when they take on Mamba PRO FC at the Bwari Stadium. They will then face Onome Dupri FC on October 6th at 4:00 PM, followed by a clash against Shield FC on October 8th.

The 2023 NLO Cup saw Tudun Wada FC claim the title after a dominant 7-2 victory over Palm Syrup FC in the final. As Barau FC seeks to emulate their success, they will need to navigate a tough group stage and deliver consistent performances to secure their place in the later rounds.
