Borno State Governor Approves N465 Million for National Orthopaedic Hospital in Hawul

In a significant move to improve healthcare services in Borno State, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has allocated N465 million and a designated space for the establishment of a National Orthopaedic Hospital in Azare, Hawul local government area. The hospital aims to address the pressing need for specialized orthopaedic care in the northeast region.
During a meeting with the accreditation team from the Federal Ministry of Health, led by Dr. Jimoh O. Saludeen, Governor Zulum explained that the state government would cede ownership of the General Hospital in Azare to establish the national orthopaedic hospital. The approved N465 million will be used to rehabilitate the facility completely, including staff quarters.
Governor Zulum emphasized that the state government is committed to supporting the establishment of the hospital, recognizing that the greatest beneficiaries will be the people of Borno State.
The delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health commended Governor Zulum for his support and leadership in providing healthcare services to the people of Borno State.
This development is a significant step towards improving healthcare services in the northeast region, and the people of Borno State can look forward to accessing specialized orthopaedic care in the near future.
