Breaking: APC National Director Abducted in Abuja, N350m Ransom Demanded

By Faisal A Harande
In a shocking turn of events, Dr. Adekunle Raif Adeniji, the Director of Administration at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja, has been abducted by gunmen. The incident occurred two weeks ago in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, with his captors demanding a staggering N350 million ransom for his release.
Dr. Adeniji, who was appointed to his position in August 2024, following the resignation of Prof. Alaba Adediwura, is a high-ranking official in the APC. His abduction has sent shockwaves through the political community, with many calling for his immediate release.
Unfortunately, Dr. Adeniji’s abduction is not an isolated incident. There has been a growing trend of kidnappings targeting high-profile individuals in Nigeria, including retired Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Despite the gravity of the situation, neither the APC National Secretariat nor security operatives have officially commented on the incident ¹. Sources close to the matter have confirmed that Dr. Adeniji is being held captive, and negotiations for his release are ongoing.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
