Breaking News: PDP Appoints New Acting National Chairman

Abuja, Nigeria – October 11, 2024 – In a significant move, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Alhaji Yayari Ahmed Mohammed as its Acting National Chairman. This appointment comes following the suspension of Amb. Illiya Damagum from the role.
The decision was made by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, in accordance with the party’s constitution. The appointment is effective immediately.
In a press release issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the NWC urged all party organs, leaders, stakeholders, and members to remain united and focused during this critical period. The party is currently gearing up for its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, scheduled for October 24, 2024.
