Breaking: Obasanjo’s Ex-ADC, Gen. Jemitola, Dies Suddenly at IBB Golf Club

Abuja, Nigeria, February 6, 2025. Major General Christopher Jemitola (rtd), former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Olusegun Obasanjo, passed away suddenly on Thursday at the IBB Golf Club in Abuja. He collapsed while at the club, and despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to a hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

General Jemitola served as President Obasanjo’s ADC from 2002 to 2007, demonstrating exceptional dedication and professionalism. His distinguished military career included roles as Director of Defence Information and Defence Attaché at the Nigerian Embassy in Brazil. He also served as Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) of the Nigerian Army, contributing significantly to strategic military operations.
Following his retirement, General Jemitola transitioned to the private sector, becoming a Senior Advisor for Military Communications at Pinnacle Communications Limited.
