The Executive Chairman of Buji Local Government Area, Arc. Najibullah Falalu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing community safety and youth empowerment through strategic partnership with security agencies.

He made this known on Wednesday during the passing-out ceremony and parade of forty (40) newly trained NSCDC volunteer corps members held at Gantsa, the headquarters of Buji Local Government Area.

The training programme fully sponsored by the Buji Local Government Administration was designed to strengthen grassroots security architecture, promote social justice, and support the local government’s development agenda anchored on Security, Social Justice, and Youth Empowerment.

Addressing the gathering, Arc. Falalu commended the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa State Command for its collaboration and professional conduct throughout the training exercise.

“This milestone reflects our dedication to building safer communities and supporting our youths with the right skills to contribute to peace and development,” the Chairman said.

During the ceremony, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, accompanied by senior officers, presented an Award of Excellence to Arc. Najibullah Falalu in recognition of his outstanding support and commitment to community security, youth development, and inter-agency collaboration.

In his remarks, the Chairman expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Mallam Umar Namadi, FCA, for his unwavering commitment to security reforms and for creating an enabling environment that strengthens grassroots governance and community policing initiatives across the state.

He further urged the newly trained NSCDC volunteers to demonstrate discipline, patriotism, and diligence in discharging their duties, noting that their service is a noble call to protect lives, safeguard property, and uphold the values of peace and justice in Buji Local Government Area.

“You must see this as a service to humanity. Be courageous, uphold integrity, and ensure that Buji remains peaceful and secure,” he advised.

The colourful event featured a parade by the trained corps members, attended by community leaders, traditional rulers, and representatives of security agencies.
